We found hotels that looked like they would be in our budget and we got a room at the first place we tried. It was Best Western Brighton, situated just next to the second pier right on the water front. We had a large room with a beach view…not that we could see much in the dark. Everywhere seemed so dead, probably because its a slow time of year and because of the pending bad weather. Worked out good for us though, we got a discounted price and everything. Crazy Ozzies… no severe weather warnings will hold us back 
. hehe. We walked along the beachfront up to the pier in search of a nice place to have dinner. We didn’t go to the famous brighton pier because it looked a bit creepy… all the attractions and rides and lights and no one around. It began snowing as we walked which was so awsom!. Very romantic, walking along the esplanade in the snow:-). Clint spotted an almost empty restaurant that was dimly lit only with candles, so we paused to have a three course romantic dinner.
